This is the video you’re not supposed to see. (I’m kidding.)
Once again, the folks at JLE Productions have posted another parody video. Like their previous videos, this one doesn’t ridicule the device so much as it makes fun of Apple’s marketing efforts. It’s funny.
After you watch this one, you might want to head over to Youtube and watch their other videos. The one they made last year for the iPad launch is particularly good.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a YouTube video before. I really don’t spend much time there at all. But you’ve got to see this video. It’s just beautiful and a lot of fun to watch.
Microsoft now working on a digital pen & tablet concept
I’ve just come across a paper this past week discussing a research project funded by MS in India. This concept device was developed to explore low cost record keeping in rural India. The project was run with the assisntance of India’s Self Help Group, a microfinance network.
This tablet is running custom software on top of Windows CE, and that screen is 3.5 inches across. If you’ll click on the picture, you’ll see that the writing on the paper matches what’s on screen. The pen has a built in sensor that transmits the motions of the pen to the WinCE device.
Do you recall the Yifang Android tablet I showed you earlier this week? This is pretty much the same idea, except for the fact that this one costs a little more (0 manufacturing costs) , does less, and is no where near ready for the market.
This paper is fascinating, but strictly from a usability viewpoint (I’m still reading it). The gadget is not that impressive.

I finally read my first book by Chimanda Ngozi Adichie, Purple Hibsicus. superb!! Love, love, love. Now I just need to read all her other books. I got to meet her in person and she is so nice.
Things Fall Apart has been on my TBR list for awhile, didn't know it was trilogy.
What about Helen Oyemi? she's half Nigerian although I think both her books (I'm currently reading one white is for witching) are set in England so not sure if they count for this list's purposes.
Someone recommended Ben Okri's poetry to me recently. And I'm adding Wole Soyinka to my list.
I can't wait to "visit" Nigeria again!

Hi, a slight correction. Chinua Achebe hasn't …
Hi, a slight correction. Chinua Achebe hasn't won the Nobel yet. Wole Soyinka had in 1986. A great list all the same. Have read all of Adichie's books. I have read three of Achebe (and have two unread); I have read one of Buchi Emecheta (the Joys of motherhood); one of Okri (Incidents at the Shrine); two of Soyinka (You must set forth at dawn (a memoir) and the lion and the jewel (a play)). I need to be up to speed with my Nigerian readings.
